CHEESE CAKES: You might like to add this simple but slightly-different-tasting cheese cake to your cheese-cake recipe collection.



HAZELNUT CHEESE CAKE:

 

 

 

crust: 1 quantity of basic cheese cake crust, see recipe

filling:

    4 pkgs. cream cheese, softened                  
    1 cup hazelnut, finely chopped
    4 eggs                                                                     
    ¼ cup whipping cream
    1 tsp vanilla

 

 

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Roll out pastry to ¼- thickness to fit a 9-10-inch spring-form baking pan. Bake blind for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.

 

Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees F.  Prepare filling by beating cream cheese and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add whipping cream, hazelnut and vanilla extract and mix in well.

 

Pour mixture into half-baked crust. Bake for 2 hours.
