SWEET SAUCES: Hope you'll give this a try & enjoy it as much as I do.

GRAND MARNIER SAUCE:

5 egg yolks

½  cup superfine sugar

4 tbsp. Grand Marnier

1 cup whipping cream

2 tbsp icing sugar

Beat eggs and ½ cup sugar in a bowl set over a saucepan of hot water; making sure bottom of bowl does not touch the hot water. Continue beating until mixture is light in colour and very thick.  Remove bowl and beat in 2 tablespoons of Grand Marnier.

Set the bowl in a large basin of ice and whisk the mixture until it is completely cold.

In a separate bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form, beat in 2 tablespoons of icing sugar and continue beating until stiff.   Fold cream into the egg yolk mixture, and add in 2 more tablespoons of Grand Marnier. Chill well before serving.
